The Concept: An artistic collaboration that captures the essence of sophistication and culinary indulgence. CALEA by Gerardo Metta is a brand inspired by the harmony of nature’s finest elements and the craftsmanship of fine dining. The project brings together elegance, simplicity, and timeless aesthetics to redefine the art of gastronomy branding.

The brand CALEA, meaning “sky” in Italian, symbolizes boundless creativity and the infinite possibilities of indulgence. It reflects the brand’s luxurious approach to modern dining.

The logo combines delicate handwritten typography with contemporary minimalism, establishing a warm yet refined presence. Custom illustrations of caviar, oysters, and citrus fruits evoke the culinary artistry and natural ingredients at the heart of the brand. These details pay homage to authentic flavors and textures, creating an intimate connection between the visual identity and the dining experience.

The color palette draws from nature’s organic tones — soft ivory, deep navy, and subtle charcoal — embodying elegance and sophistication. Textures and patterns inspired by the sea and fine culinary craftsmanship enhance the cohesive identity, seamlessly blending tradition with modernity.
